Paruresis Article on Urology Website

Hi all, Steven Soifer has posted on Facebook a link to an excellent article on Paruresis, found on a website called Urology Care. Although the contents do not represent an "official" view of a formal Urology institution, you may still find it useful to print it out and take it with you if you have t...

Re: the workshop

Hi Darren,

Thanks for the post. It's great that you found the workshop so helpful.
Keep up the practising. With youth on your side, I expect that you will move into good recovery before long.

Re: HAVING PROBLEMS REGISTERING?

There are now so many applications coming each day (sometimes up to 100, presumably machine-generated), that I cannot possibly open each one and try to decide if it looks genuine. The only way forward is for you to make your registration application and then immediately email me ( recov2000AThotmail...

Re: Interesting Article today

Derek,

Thanks for the link. An interesting and amusing article. It should reach a large audience, as it filled the back page of the Sun-Herald. But I saw it first via your link.

Re: HELLO EVERYONE :)

JJ_29, Welcome to the forum. It is certainly frustrating to find medical professionals dismissing our difficulties. In recent years I have made it a practice to raise the matter of paruresis with doctors. Of the two G.P.'s I am thinking of, the first seemed to be aware of the condition, and the seco...

Re: Well I'm going to try Hypnotherapy

Damian, Thank you for an interesting series of posts. You have given us much to think about. My first port of call many years ago when beginning to confront my paruresis was a few sessions with a psychologist who used hypnosis. Although I believe there was no direct help from the hypnosis as such, I...

HAVING PROBLEMS REGISTERING?

Because this forum has been targeted by many spammers, the settings have been changed so that a username has to be approved before the registration is approved. I manage this process. The problem is that the only way I can judge whether your application is genuine, is by deciding whether the usernam...

Re: Brisbane support group- Anyone interested?

Jeremy, I am not aware of a Brisbane support group yet up and running. However, if you send a private message to johng via this forum (post again if you don't know how to do this), then he and you may be able to arrange a time for talking, perhaps at a location half-way between where each of you liv...

Re: Warning re Spam Posts

Hi Ross, Darren has altered the settings, so that dodgy-looking usernames will simply be ignored, and denied registration. But I can assure you that it is MUCH quicker to delete posts than to deal with the usernames. And BTW there is no evidence that they visit the site to see the results of their e...

Re: Warning re Spam Posts

Hi John,

I am continuing to delete posts, and banning suspect spammer names. I think it is worthwhile stopping them before they post, as it will stop their excitement of seeing their post on our talk page.

Ross (on your old login)

Can we get permission to delete these spammers all together?
